Raise Bore Piling Project: Precision Delivery on Schedule and Without Incident

Fleurieu Civil & Construction was engaged to deliver specialised piling works at Raise Bore 71 and 74. The project involved high-precision drilling and concrete filling around critical infrastructure shafts, supporting underground stability through both reinforced and unreinforced techniques.

Scope of Works

The works included:

  • Provision of an SR30 Piling Rig and experienced operators.

  • Drilling 11 centre pile boreholes within the collar of Raise Bore 74, each 1200mm in diameter, filled with non-reinforced concrete.

  • Drilling 24 additional boreholes around the shaft circumference to install 900mm diameter concrete-filled piles with a PCD of 6650mm.

  • Filling even-numbered piles with 15MPa unreinforced concrete.

  • Filling odd-numbered piles with 40MPa reinforced concrete, keyed to adjacent unreinforced piles for structural integrity.

Execution & Outcome

The works were completed:

  • On time, within the 30-day schedule

  • With zero injuries or safety incidents

  • To high engineering standards under operational constraints

Final Remarks

This project highlights Fleurieu’s capability to deliver complex, high-precision piling solutions under tight timeframes while upholding the highest safety and quality standards.
