Water treatment plant upgrade

Our team supported the upgrade of a major water treatment facility to improve reliability and communication systems. The project required integration of new electrical and communication assets across the plant, tank and dam wall.

Scope of works included:

• Installation of a new plant communications network, refurbished electrical switchboards and wiring modifications.

• Upgrade of the control room, including new panels, simulation systems and modern instrumentation.

• Replacement of existing communication cables with a 1 km run of new 24-core fibre optic cable.

• Installation of a new outdoor control panel, battery box and solar array at the tank site.

• Relocation and reconfiguration of transmitters, radios and antennas, with decommissioning of outdated systems.

The works were delivered while maintaining operational capacity, ensuring the plant continues to provide safe and efficient water services to the region.y and battery system.
