Hamley Bridge Pipeline Upgrade: Delivering Infrastructure with Impact

Fleurieu Civil & Construction was engaged by SA Water to undertake a major infrastructure upgrade in Hamley Bridge, involving the installation of a new water main and associated works. The project showcased the team's capability to deliver high-quality outcomes in remote environments while maintaining environmental and safety standards.

Project Scope

The construction works included:

  • Installation of 981 metres of DN300 DICL pipe (ductile iron cement lined)

  • Installation of 48 metres of DN100 DICL

  • Installation of 3 stop valve assemblies

  • Installation of 6 additional stop valve assemblies

  • Installation of 3 fire plugs

  • Development of a new service road

  • Road reinstatement after excavation

  • Full system flush, including chlorination and commissioning

Environmental Considerations

Throughout the project, local vegetation was carefully managed in accordance with environmental best practices. The team ensured minimal disruption to the surrounding ecosystem while delivering essential upgrades to water infrastructure.
